I was born in Te Puia Springs living in Te Araroa for a few years. Thereafter we moved to the Waiarapa
region, and lower north island towns. I have been back in Gisborne with my youngest son near on nine
Historically, my paid employment has been in the Social Services Sector with a now much-needed change of occupation. In my spare time, I did community work within the Kapiti Coast,
Horowhenua and Manawatu regions. I was a volunteer for Reading for the disabled Radio Station, Adult
literature assistance, Birthright and fundraising, Women’s Centre providing assistance for young
mothers, Salvation Army Op Shops in those regions, Friends of the Library, amateur theatre, I also
studied a number of Sociology papers through Massey University, Palmerston North.
My interests: Non-fiction literature, History, Advocate for abused animals, Music, Conservation,
Alternative healing modalities and Real Estate. I value effective communication, self-determination and
understandings, empowering individuals and groups and high regard for diversity of cultures, goals
with complete solutions.
