Welcome – BUT – do you have an appointment?

Welcome – BUT – do you have an appointment?

It is surprising how many landlords/property managers who do not give correct notice when visiting a property. This is not acceptable practice, and a landlord or property manager may be penalised for not giving the appropriate notice!

Imagine your tenant waking up in the morning, still in their night attire to find a landlord waving at them through the windows, without a prearranged appointment for an inspection!

Residential tenancies are governed by legislation that gives specific guidelines in relation to the notice and regularity of visits not just from landlords/property managers but for the purpose of maintenance, emergencies, collecting rent, inspections, etc.

Know the legislative requirements before visiting or contact your property manager to give the correct notice.
